HLTV.org has learned that Poland will be featured in the Counter-Strike tournament at the ESWC world finals. There had been doubts about the Polish teams' involvement in the CS competition after the main sponsor of the qualifier decided to pull the plug on its support of the qualified teams and players, leaving 28 representatives without a way to travel to Paris. It had also been confirmed that the Polish players' license fee had not been fully paid by the sponsor, which further cast doubt about their chances of competing in Paris. However, after contacted by the Polish organisers, the ESWC has decided that all qualified teams and players from Poland will be allowed to participate in the tournament and will be provided accommodation for the event with no further costs. Due to these delays, most Polish representatives at ESWC will travel to Paris by train, which has made the tournament change the order in which the groups will be played, as both DELTA and Frag eXecutors were due to play their first matches at 1030 CET. This means that Groups A and B will only start at 1530 CET. Stay tuned to HLTV.org for up-to-date info on the 2010 edition of the ESWC world finals. |
